Remote Camera Inspections
The GEV Wind Power high-resolution remote blade inspection system proves a huge cost saving solution to both onshore and offshore wind turbine inspections.
A minimum cost saving of 75% can be achieved compared to traditional methods of blade inspection, not including the additional savings made from lost production.GEV Wind Power remote camera inspections can each target a total of 5 onshore turbines per day or 3 offshore turbines per day. A recently completed offshore blade inspection programme in Belgium ensured that over 70 turbines were inspected during a three-week timescale due to the use of the GEV Wind Power remote inspection system,
a total that would normally take a whole season to complete.
